The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is held every Fall between the end of September through the middle of November. This year I decided to attend this wonderful event! My first ever Epcot International Food & Wine Festival! I made an early start to my day and purchased a general park admission ticket which allowed me to enjoy all the rides and attractions of Epcot along with the festival. Of course, you have to purchase the food & drink separately. For those of you who love diverse food, this is a must on your list!
There are may international cuisines to experience. There are displays around the park highlighting what each country has to offer.
As early as it was, I started walking around and taking photos of some of my favorite spots and along the way made some friends. My first stop was Ireland. Here I ordered the Cheese Plate and had a Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale.
Hawaii was my next stop! This place holds a special place in my heart (I won’t bore you with the details.) I ordered the juicy, tasty and delicious Tuna Poke with Seaweed Salad and Nori Strings along with a Kona Big Wave Ale. I wanted to stay and reminisce at this location, but I knew that I had to visit a few other countries.
I walked to my next stop and I saw a long line of children forming. As I got closer to see what the commotion was all about, I heard “It’s Alice in Wonderland.” But of course I had to stop, it was Alice in Wonderland! You only get to see her in movies and books. All I kept hearing her say was, “Oh My.”
I stopped in Morocco and Mexico and picked up a few souveniers.
While in France, I had the delightful Boeuf Bourguignon: Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet Sauvignon with Mashed Potatoes and a Croissant aux Escargots accompanied by a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chateau Bonnet, Bordeaux.
My journey through Japan was lovely! I visited the Japanese Marketplace and did a little shopping. I relished the Miso Udon: Steamed Shrimp, Vegetables, and Noodles in a Spicy Broth with a glass of Kirin Draft Beer.
In China, I stopped to photograph Mulan. A long line of waiting and adoring children lined up to see her. It reminded me, that it is still Disney for children to enjoy the characters but, now their parents can enjoy food, wine and beer from around the world at Epcot Center at the same time.
If you’re traveling to Orlando during the Fall, add Epcot International Food & Wine Festival to your things to see and do!
