King Edward VII Monument is located at Phillips Square in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This historical monument is dedicated to King Edward VII and was launched on October 1, 1914. Four statues line each side of the base of the monument.
The figure in front is named Peace and the western group, called Four Nations represents Montreal’s four founding countries – France, Scotland, Ireland and England.
An angel name Winged Genius sits at the back and represents liberty, while Abundance lines the eastern side of the base and stands for Canada’s success and well being.
King Edward VII Monument is a must see sight and not to miss when visiting Montreal.
