This photo of the Historic Coliseum in St. Pete was constructed in 1924. If you are traveling from the Tampa Bay Area, take I-275 South towards downtown St. Pete, It’s located in the downtown district of St. Petersburg and is very close to many restaurants and shops. The venue can hold up to 2,ooo people and has more than 800 parking spaces to the left of the venue.
Purchased by the City of St. Pete in 1989, the building was designed for live music and sound enhancement. The concert hall rises almost 35 feet at the peak of it’s arch and then descends to the main stage. Many famous musicians such as Harry James, Guy Lombardo, Tommy Dorsey and the legendary Louis Armstrong have performed at the Coliseum.

The Historic Coliseum is used for many events such as fund raisers, events, trade shows, corporate functions and training seminars to name a few. It offers catering and beverage services. The Ballroom space inside is 16,000 square feet. You can utilize the banquet space with or without a dance floor. Weddings, bridal shows and special events such as the Florida Antiquarian Book Fair are among some of the festivities held there.
