If you’ve been to any of our Gulf beaches, you will have noticed Stingrays. Between April and October is our Stingray Season on our west coast Florida beaches. These sea animals hide themselves in the bottom of the sand. Most of them will cause you no harm. For the most part, if you are in the water and notice a stingray, it is best to ignore and not bother them. If you think the Stingrays are in the sand, to avoid them, the best thing to do is shuffle your feet.
This picture was taken at Coquina Beach, Florida where a couple of stingrays passed by me.
Have you seen stingrays in any of our Florida beaches? If so, what was your reaction? Would like to hear about your experience with them?
