One of the last trips I took this year was to Orlando. With only an hour drive, I packed up and headed to the Orlando World Center Marriott to attend the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which I will blog about in another post. This resort is my favorite to stay at! I’ve visited several times in the past and have always enjoyed my stay. I was anxious to arrive!! 🙂 It had been a few years since I was there. I could feel the excitement inside, I felt like a little girl in a candy store. I couldn’t wait to get to my room and start my much needed vacation.
The resort has a parking entrance that you can enter through. As you take the escalator to the main lobby you are greated with a gorgeous unique map of the world.
The interior of the hotel is luxious and modern.
My room was located on the 5th Floor of the West Tower, their newest addition to the resort. As I swiped my room card to unlock the door, I was amazed to have a beautiful view. I took a deep breathe and said, “now this is what I was waiting for.” I immediatley changed into something more comfortable, grabbed my camera and headed out to explore and photograph this stunning resort.
First, a little bit about the resort. It has a lot of amenities for everyone both indoors and out. It attracts thousands of local and international visitors each year. Service, friendliness of staff, ammenities, onsite restaurants, cleanliness and attractions near or around a resort are things that I look for. This resort definelty has all of the above plus more!
The Orlando World Center Marriott has two 200 foot-winding waterslides, kid’s splash pool, 18 hole golf course, 8 dining restaurants, shops, full service spa, fitness center, inside swimming pool, a starbucks, Wi-Fi, FedEx Business Office, loung areas, and 450,000 square feet of meeting and event space. It also has 1,889 rooms that offers beautiful views from either one of their pools or golf course.
Some of the local attractions near the resort include Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure, Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Disney Water Parks and Wet ‘ n Wild Water Park to name a few. If you’re flying in and out or Orlando, Orlando International Airport and Kissimmee Gateway Airport are the closest airports to the resort.
There are several dining options inside and out the resort. Siro Urban Italian Kitchen, Solaris breakfast buffet, High Velocity Sports Restaurant, Hawk’s Landing Steakhouse and Grille, Mikado Japanese Steakhouse, Starbucks, a food court and Falls Pool Bar & Grill. Which by the way, it’s a must if you visit!
For those of you who like to stay fit while traveling, the resort has a jogging and fitness trail. On my last day, I decided to take a walk and follow the trail around the resort. It was peaceful. The early morning air felt refreshing.
If you are looking for a hotel that has all the amenties of a first class resort with a golf course and is located in close proximity of all of Orlando’s theme parks, then the Orlando World Center Marriott is your best choice!!
